ARTICLE 7: ACTIVE MEMBERS

a) Active membership is limited to persons holding managerial or other responsible positions in the travel and tourism industry in an entity as listed in the Bylaws of Skal International, Article I - Classifications 3.

These persons must be employed full-time in the declared position, be actively involved in sales and/or promotional work and have a minimum of three (3) years travel or tourism experience, which
need not be in a managerial position. Membership is effective upon receipt of approval from Skal International either in writing or by the issuance of a membership card.

b) Active membership ceases when a member is no longer qualified under the Bylaws of Skal International, Article I, Section 1. The member may then be transferred to Life or Associate membership or, failing that, to Local membership or resign from Skal.

c) A minimum of twenty (20) persons is required to form a Skal Club. For the Club to remain operative, the number of active and life members must not be less than fifteen (15). Membership cards will not be issued to Clubs with less than fifteen (15) Active or Life members.
